“Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human” – Actor Lala speaks after Asake who he used to help in OAU invites him to his show at the O2 Arena (Video)

Popular Nollywood actor Muyideen Oladapo, professionally known as Lala, has finally broken his silence in a recent social media post after receiving an invitation from singer Asake, whom he once mentored at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), to his O2 Arena show.

Asake, signed to Olamide’s YBNL, held his second 20,000-capacity O2 Arena show on September 21st, 2024. The singer extended invitations to his mother, Pocolee, Wizkid, and others to attend.

However, the clip that gained the most attention was of Asake and actor Lala, as many who knew their history revealed how Lala had once been a benefactor to the now-successful singer.

At the time, actor Lala was already a well-known figure in the Yoruba movie industry while studying Theatre Arts at OAU, and he brought Asake from Lagos to the university.

Lala supported Asake in his early days by giving him a platform at his campus shows, helping boost his popularity at OAU. Asake later returned the favor by inviting Lala to his UK concert.

Taking to his verified Instagram page, Lala, now a master’s degree holder, expressed immense joy after receiving an invitation to Asake’s sold-out 20,000-capacity show at the O2 Arena.

Lala described the moment as one of pride, encouraging people to never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit.

Lala wrote; “Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. The potential for greatness lives within each of us. Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. People do not decide to become extraordinary. They decide to accomplish extraordinary things. It was a proud moment for me yesterday! God, you are great!! ALHAMDULILLAHI FOR EVERYTHING🙏🙏.”
