Nollywood actress and director Funke Akindele, a recipient of numerous awards, recently shared her insights on the ongoing challenges related to the “Japa” phenomenon.

As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence Day on October 1, 2024, Akindele took to Instagram to express her appreciation for the resilience of Nigerians during these trying times.

She praised the spirit of perseverance among her fellow citizens, recognizing their strength in navigating the current difficulties facing the nation.

The mother of two expressed her unwavering belief that Nigeria will rise to greatness once again, affirming her decision not to relocate abroad in search of greener pastures.

As the highest-grossing producer, Funke Akindele reflected on her many blessings and accomplishments achieved in Nigeria, including her ability to empower the youth, produce a film with a crew of over 175 members, and achieve sold-out movie releases.

Akindele acknowledged that Nigeria has provided her with these opportunities and much more, and she has no intention of abandoning the country in its difficult times.
