The Lagos State Police Command has offered an update regarding the late Mohbad’s body. A police source revealed that the delay in exhuming the body for an autopsy is attributed to the necessary paperwork that must be finalized with the state Ministry of Health as part of the investigative procedure.
The source indicated that Mohbad’s body is scheduled to be exhumed for an autopsy either on Wednesday, September 20, or at the latest, by Thursday, September 21. This critical step is essential in establishing the cause of the singer’s death and forms an integral part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding his demise.
Mohbad passed away in contentious circumstances on September 12 and was laid to rest the following day, September 13.
Nigerians have demanded that an autopsy be carried following the startling revelations of him being harassed and assaulted while he was alive.
The Lagos state police command on Monday, September 19, set up a 13-man committee to carry out a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding his demise.
The committee is expected to turn in its report in two weeks.

Stage Three: Decay Active decay begins in the period between a week to 10 days following death. Fluids evacuate from the body’s orifices and muscles and other soft tissues begin to liquefy. Teeth and nails will fall out in the coming weeks and as the body liquefies, it will lead to a reduction in insect activity. The body will turn from green to red.
