Renowned Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid, has made a comeback on Instagram after the passing of his mother.
Wizkid, famous for the hit song “Essence,” updated his verified Instagram profile picture to an image of his late mother.
As a reminder, on August 18th, 2023, Intel Region reported the heartbreaking news that Wizkid had lost his biological mother, Jane Dolapo, to the inevitable hands of death.
The passing of Wizkid’s mother profoundly affected the singer, leading to the postponement of his 5th album, “More Love Less Ego” (MLLE) tour.
Despite recent sightings of Wizkid at fashion events in the UK and Italy, the beloved Nigerian singer continues to mourn the loss of his mother.
As a tribute, he removed his profile picture on his verified Instagram page, which boasts 17.7 million followers, and replaced it with an image of his late mother.
