A Nigerian man named Ayomide recently made an accidental transfer of a substantial amount, N500,000, to Afrobeat musician Davido’s Wema bank account.
Sharing his plight on his social media page, Ayomide explained that he intended to send the money to a friend but mistakenly transferred it to a different account with a name similar to the one he had in mind.
Seeking assistance, he reached out to the public, hoping for any help to recover the mistakenly transferred funds.
He wrote, “Good day sir Mr David Adeleke @davido I want to bring your awareness about an issue pls”.
“I will want you to consider me I mistakenly sent #500,000 naira to you Wema Bank with this acct num0123044967 Which was supposed to be sent to a friend of mine which name is also David Adeleke”.
