Actress Biola Adebayo has opened up about her struggles with rejection from colleagues in the entertainment industry and urged fans to pray for fellow actor Ibrahim Chatta.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, Biola revealed that securing guests for her podcast, Talk To B, has been one of her toughest challenges. She shared how frequent rejections, even from close friends, have left her deeply hurt, though she remains without resentment.
Biola recounted a specific incident on Monday when she planned to film four episodes of her podcast, only for two guests to cancel at the last minute. Feeling frustrated and uncertain about how to continue, she felt compelled to reach out to Ibrahim Chatta, despite her initial hesitation.
“On Sunday evening, I thought of whom to call for a long time till I heard in my spirit (call Ibrahim). That sounded impossible, knowing how busy he is and considering the fact that he doesn’t live in Lagos,” she wrote.
To her surprise, Ibrahim not only answered her call but also canceled his appointments to show up for her podcast recording.
He praised Biola for being a good person, a gesture that moved her to tears.
“Why would anyone say no to you? You’re a good person,” she quoted Ibrahim as saying.
Biola described Ibrahim as “one in a million” and expressed gratitude for his willingness to go out of his way to help.
She further celebrated the grace of God upon his life and called on her followers to pray for him.
“I pray you will never die untimely, you will never weep over everything giving you joy… Please just say a word of prayer for @ibrahimchatta_lordthespis on my behalf,” she concluded.
Ibrahim Chatta is widely regarded as one of the most talented actors in the Yoruba film industry, known for his versatility and dedication to his craft.
