Popular Nigerian TikToker Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, widely known as Peller, has addressed criticisms about being too young to marry after proposing to his girlfriend, Jarvis, at the age of 19.
On December 13, 2024, Peller became the talk of social media after he publicly proposed to Jarvis at a mall. The heartwarming moment was captured in a viral video that sparked mixed reactions online. While many praised the gesture, others argued that Peller, being just 19 years old, is too young to get married, especially since Jarvis is older and a graduate.
Peller, however, remains firm in his decision, showing confidence in his choice despite the debate surrounding their relationship.
In a new video, Peller explained the reason behind his decision to propose to Jarvis. He revealed that he acted quickly because he is traveling to the UK for two weeks and wanted to solidify their relationship before leaving.
Addressing critics who believe 19 is too young for marriage, Peller strongly dismissed their concerns, arguing that poverty is the main reason many people delay getting married. He expressed confidence in his decision and criticized those questioning his maturity.
