Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has disclosed why he believes he has never received the prestigious Grammy Award.
During an Instagram live session with popular media personality Daddy Freeze, the Zazuu Zeh crooner claimed that his estranged baby mama, Queen Dami, is the reason he is yet to win the global music honor.
It is worth recalling that Portable and Queen Dami, the former wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, have been at odds since she ended their relationship and moved out of his home.
Since their breakup, the duo has seized every opportunity to publicly criticize each other.
In a recent interview, Portable claimed that Queen Dami has been the source of his setbacks. According to the singer, their relationship became a stumbling block to his progress, prompting him to end things with her to focus on advancing his life and career.
Speaking in Yoruba, he said, “I went out, and they told me, anyone that is hindering her progress should leave his life regardless of his gender. Queen Dami is the reason I have never collected Grammy Award, if not I would have won it. Now that she’s gone, I will move forward in life.”
