Mohbad’s close friend, Michael Charles, popularly known as OGB Recent, has chosen to pay tribute and preserve the memory of the late artist by tattooing “Imole” on his elbow.
Michael, a renowned Nigerian content creator and skit maker, shared a photo of this tattoo on his Twitter page, symbolizing his respect and remembrance.
The tattoo features Mohbad’s nickname, ‘Imole,’ a Yoruba word signifying ‘Light or Brightness,’ which the artist frequently used to describe himself before his passing. Adjacent to it, a cross-shaped tattoo adds a meaningful touch to this heartfelt tribute.
OGB Recent solicited for the singer’s good repose as they shared the picture.

The former presidential aspirant conveyed the message that Mohbad had reaped the consequences of his actions, suggesting a connection to the proverbial saying that “those who live by the sword die by the sword.”
Nonetheless, a resurfaced interview featuring Mohbad has circulated, wherein the singer explicitly stated that he had never taken anyone’s life before.
This response from the late Mohbad came during a scenario where he was asked to choose between k!ssing, hugging, and killing DJ Cuppy, Sheyi Shay, and Tems. He firmly stated that he couldn’t choose to kill anyone, as he considered himself a lover who preferred k!ssing.
Mohbad, who was previously signed under Naira Marley’s record label before parting ways in 2022, opened up about his spirituality, mentioning that his greatest fear was God forsaking him. He emphasized that he had always felt God’s presence and support in every aspect of his life.
