Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso was the first child of renowned broadcaster Alhaji Rasaq Gawat, a respected Islamic personality and television presenter known for his popular Islamic program, ‘E dide e ji sari,’ prior to his sudden disappearance in 2012. She was born in the Isale-Eko area of Lagos State.

Rukayat gained widespread recognition with the release of her debut album, which resonated with many in Nigeria and the broader Muslim community. Known for her powerful voice, she used her music to convey spiritual messages to her fans. Among her notable songs are “Oba Nla,” “Morire,” and “Ododo Eye.”
