Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has addressed the misconceptions stemming from a recent interview that went viral.
In the interview with Debbie Shokoya, the Yoruba actress candidly expressed her viewpoint as a single mother, emphasizing her readiness to accept life as it unfolds. She mentioned her openness to marrying someone who had been widowed or previously married with children.
However, misinterpretations arose, leading to a distorted narrative. Wumi Toriola shared her frustration, revealing the numerous misleading captions circulating on platforms like Facebook. She posted a screenshot of one of these false stories to illustrate the issue.
She stated that she wouldn’t be responding to them, though, since she thinks that no rational person need an explanation.
In her words: “Facebook people…na another world Dem dey. No caption I never see after the podcast. Sensible people nor need explanation. Na una go explain tire nor be me. Dem still give me age join”.
