Some Actors Said I’ve A Small Body And I’m Too Skinny, So They Refused To Give Me Movie Roles” Habeeb Alagbe Revealed

Popular Yoruba movie actor Habeeb Alagbe recently opened up about one of the most emotional moments in his career that brought him to tears.

During an interview on Babaibe TV’s official YouTube channel, he revealed that some actors in the Yoruba movie industry refused to cast him in roles, citing his slim stature and small body frame as the reason.

In his statement, he said, “I started my film making career with English series movies on television channels. Sometimes when some actors invite me to feature in their movies and I’m given a movie script to work with, they always confess that I’m a good actor. Some actors said I have a small body and I’m too skinny, so they refused to give me movie roles. The rejection I got made me cry so many times because I’m not God, who created me this way.”

In another post Lizzy recalled how she was invited to an award ceremony in Canada but turned down the invite when she knew Yinka would be performing there. She noted how when Tope was dragged online for not allowing her daughter’s father to be at her wedding, she played her song to support her.

“This is the evidence that the person who planned the birthday surprise for me mentioned my name in the email that was sent to Sis Tope Alabi’s team on Jan 26. My fans deliberately called Tope because they know how much I love her. It’s because of Sis Tope that I never played Yinka Alaseyori’s songs on my page. I don’t h@te Yinka but I was just being loyal to Sis Tope. I was invited to an award ceremony in Canada, and Yinka was to sing there; I didn’t go because it was not Sis Tope who would sing. When Sis Tope was being dragged recently for not allowing the father of her daughter to be at her wedding, I played my song to support her even though my team told me not to.

If not that Sis Tope is enjoying how people are mocking me that she disgraced me, she would have come out to talk. She humiliated me. I am even the one that should not want to associate with her because the foundation of her gospel music had to do with rituals. She started with a traditionalist who was a founder of a church that you all know. I didn’t carry rituals because I wanted to be famous”
