Actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham’s latest movie, “Alakada: Bad and Boujee,” has set a new milestone as her highest-grossing Nollywood film, earning an impressive ₦460 million within just a month of its release.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Toyin expressed her excitement and credited her success to God, thanking Him for making the achievement possible.
The comedy-drama has resonated strongly with audiences, surpassing all her previous box office records.
She also extended heartfelt appreciation to her fans, cinemas, and everyone who supported the movie, acknowledging their role in her remarkable success.
In her post, Toyin wrote “The journey to beat my last record started immediately we were done with the production of Alakada. Yes, I wanted to do well in the box office but beating my last record and almost doubling it will be better than just doing well.
Alakada Bad and Boujee selling 460m is a catch. A sweet record. Thank you to everyone who have seen this movie, thank you and God bless. Please let’s go see it again and if you haven’t seen it, please let see it. Alakada is till showing in cinemas nationwide”
