“The Reason Why I Rejected A Range Rover Evoque Car From A Man” — Comedian KieKie Reveal (Video)

Renowned Nigerian comedian Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, better known as Kiekie, recently explained her decision to decline a luxury Range Rover SUV gift.

She shared this insight during an interview on the “Toke Moment” podcast, hosted by the well-known media personality, Toke Makinwa.

This revelation followed Kiekie’s earlier online statement that stirred reactions, in which she suggested that wives should share house rent expenses with their husbands.

During a conversation on the “Toke Moment” podcast, Toke Makinwa asked Kiekie about the most expensive gift she had ever received and turned down. Kiekie candidly shared that it was a Range Rover Evoque gifted to her by an ex-partner.

She recounted that this occurred during Valentine’s season when her ex-partner casually inquired about her desires. She mentioned her interest in the car, and to her surprise, it was delivered to her doorstep.

Kiekie’s decision to reject the Range Rover gift was rooted in her knowledge that her father would expect her to marry the man who gave it to her. However, she couldn’t proceed with the relationship because he didn’t support her dreams.

In the interview, Kiekie revealed that at that time, she was a tailor operating in Opebi, and her ex-partner had previously suggested that she would need to close her shop by 2 p.m. once they got married.

Toke found Kiekie’s response amusing and playfully suggested that she should have accepted the gift without committing to marriage with the man.

KieKie, however, insisted stating, “When you know how to put a man to nice use, then he’s more functional.”
