Switching to Yoruba, she added, “Lord, anyone that refuses to tell me ‘Well done’ while I’m alive, please don’t give them the opportunity to see my death and say, ‘Rest in peace.’”
She shared that her heart is heavy and expressed frustration that people often overlook small victories, only showing up to offer condolences during times of loss.
Fighting back tears, Adeyinka revealed that she is trying to stay strong despite the overwhelming emotions.
Her heartfelt appeal comes in the wake of fellow gospel artiste Aduke Gold’s death on August 12 at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.
