An emotional video has emerged online, capturing a deeply touching moment for acclaimed gospel singer Tope Alabi. Uploaded on her official Instagram page today, December 2nd, 2023,
The 53-year-old songstress was visibly moved to tears of happiness as her admirers poured out their love, singing some of her own songs at an event.
Tope Alabi, accompanied by her husband of 23 years, Olusoji Alabi, participated in the gathering hosted by fellow gospel singer Bidemi Aloba on December 1st, 2023, in Maryland, Lagos.
Before she was called onto the stage during the event dubbed “In His Presence,” the audience began singing her songs, prompting Tope Alabi to beam with a radiant smile.
Soon after, emotions overcame Tope Alabi as attendees stood up and passionately sang along with her every word.
Tope is a prominent figure in the Nigerian music scene, boasting a catalogue of over a dozen albums. She rose to fame in 2021 with her hit track “Ore ti o common.”
Renowned for her musical prowess, she has composed an extensive repertoire of soundtracks for various Nollywood film productions, credited with over 350 soundtracks to her name.
Sharing the video, Tope Alabi wrote; “This really messed me up😥. It was an emotional moment for me at the just concluded IN HIS PRESENCE programme organized by @bidemiolaoba. This is nothing short of God’s grace, and I do not take it for granted. Thank you, Jesus!!!”
