Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has joined other celebrities in expressing his concerns about the state of the economy, sharing his connection with one of PSquare’s classic songs.
On his Snapchat, he remarked that this would have been the perfect year for PSquare to release their hit song E No Easy so they could feature him, allowing him to pour out his feelings on verse 3.
“Na this year Psquare suppose sing ‘E No Easy’. Make them feature me, make I express my feelings for verse 3”.
Recall that Nigerian singer and songwriter Adekunle ‘Gold’ Kosoko has voiced his frustrations following his favorite club, Manchester United (commonly known as the Red Devils), drawing with Porto in the Europa League on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
Manchester United’s performance during the 2023/2024 season has been marked by inconsistency, with the team struggling to deliver strong performances in both domestic and European competitions. Despite high expectations from fans and pundits, the team’s results have been underwhelming.
The recent clash between Manchester United and Porto, held at Estadio do Dragao, ended in a 3-3 draw. The match saw a turning point when United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes, was sent off with a red card, leaving the team to fight for the result with ten men.
Manchester United displayed both their strengths and vulnerabilities in the match. Marcus Rashford’s skill gave them an early advantage, scoring the first goal just seven minutes in. Rasmus Hojlund followed up with a second goal at the 20th minute, putting United in a comfortable position. However, their defensive frailties allowed Porto to make a comeback, taking a 3-2 lead. It was only Harry Maguire’s late goal in the 91st minute that salvaged a 3-3 draw for the team.
Adekunle Gold, a devoted Manchester United fan, was clearly unhappy with the team’s performance. In a video shared by his wife, Simi, the “Rodo” singer was seen lamenting bitterly. He expressed his frustration, saying his football club is the only source of “destruction” in his life.
He said, “Everything in my life is going well, everything is flourishing, thriving except my club. That’s the only but in my life. I know God will help me.”
