Toyin Abraham Is My Girl And Also A Fighhteer — Ini Edo Spill During An Interview

Nollywood actress Ini Edo opened up about her role in Toyin Abraham’s Alakada: Bad and Boujee, her collaboration with the director, and her aspirations to work with Hollywood star Eva Longoria.

Ini shared these insights during an exclusive interview with Gossipinfo (see video below) at the movie’s premiere on Sunday at IMAX Cinema in Lagos.

Speaking about her character, Madam Sharon, Ini described the role as dynamic and full of surprises. “Boujee and Bad! Sharon is a ruthless boss lady and a terrible bitch overall,” she said.

A nasty boss bitch. The 42-year-old stated, “She is a character who is unpredictable, two-faced, and has two different personae.”

The actress also praised Toyin, emphasizing her perseverance and diligence.

“It was interesting. Toyin is my girl. She is a very passionate person, that’s why I respect what she does. She is a fighter; she is constantly fighting.

“She has her vision, she has her dreams and she goes for what she wants and I admire that about her,” she said.

On her encounter with Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Ini described the experience as humbling.

“It was really humbling; she was so sweet. She was really nice, she was very friendly, and she was excited to see me. She was like, ‘Oh my God, you look so good.’ We ended up chatting like old friends, and all that. It was really nice, and she is so beautiful up close,” Ini shared.

She also revealed ongoing plans for collaboration with Eva Longoria, focusing on inclusion and distribution.

“We had lots of conversations about collaboration, about inclusion, distribution, and all of that. We all know what the industry is in terms of distribution.

“The conversation that we had started two years ago when I went there first was about collaboration and we are still on that.

“You know their culture is very different, a very diverse culture, so it’s about how we marry a story that doesn’t touch on their culture, move away from their culture and beliefs.

“So, it’s just going to be a gradual process, but the conversation is ongoing,” she added.

The star-studded premiere of Alakada: Bad and Boujee was graced by celebrities including Iyabo Ojo, Bimbo Ademoye, Rotimi Salami, Kie Kie, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Ajeyemi Kolawole, Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Odunlade Adekola and Moyo Lawal.
