Nigerian chess prodigy Tunde Onakoya, who surpassed the previous Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon, is warmly greeted by his fellow countrymen upon his return at the airport.

In the iconic Times Square of New York, the founder of Chess In Slums Africa accomplished an impressive 60-hour playtime on Saturday, potentially setting a new record pending confirmation from Guinness World Records.

In a viral video, a cultural ensemble is captured serenading Tunde upon his arrival at Lagos state’s international airport. The plane crew and airport personnel were in awe, snapping photos as they presented him with a bouquet of flowers.

Accompanied by lively singing and dancing from the band, the atmosphere was filled with celebration and admiration.
