At 62 years old, the esteemed veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor has tragically passed away, succumbing to renal failure.

The news of Muonagor’s passing has sent shockwaves throughout the community, especially following the circulation of a recent viral video online. In the video, a family member can be seen making a heartfelt plea for financial assistance to support the actor’s urgent need for a kidney transplant. He was both an actor and a producer. In 2016, he earned a nomination for Best Actor in a comedy at the 2017 AMVCA awards.
After completing his youth service in 1989, Muonagor joined the News Agency of Nigeria. However, he departed from his job a few years later to pursue his passion for acting. His debut role was as Akunatakasi in the Nigerian movie “Taboo 1.”
