Veteran Singer Mike Ejeagha in Tears As His 14-Year-Old Song Goes Viral

Veteran Nigerian singer, Gentleman Mike Ejeagha,became emotional following the resurgence of a song he released in 2010, thanks to skit maker Brain Jotter.

The highlife song, ‘Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche,’ was released 14 years ago and had faded into obscurity until it was recently brought back into the limelight.

It all started when popular content creator and actor Brain Jotter used the song in one of his skits, creating a dance move synchronized to the music.

On Instagram, the first video made by the skitmaker featuring Gentleman Mike Ejeagha’s song garnered an impressive 659,000 likes, while on TikTok, it amassed over 11 million views.

The music, along with Brain Jotter’s dance, has since gone viral, spreading across Nigeria and even being used in some Asian countries.

Following the song’s resurgence, several content creators have paid homage to Mike Ejeagha. In a touching video, the elderly singer is seen breaking down in tears after being presented with an envelope, presumably containing money, by TikToker @anyigoldtv. He was also informed about the newfound success of his song.

It was an emotional moment for the highlife singer, who expressed his gratitude and offered heartfelt prayers for the recognition and support he received.
