Today, on September 21, 2023, the police in Ikorodu, Lagos State, have initiated the process of exhuming the late Nigerian singer Mohbad’s body.
It’s worth noting that this action comes after a delay caused by the requirement to complete necessary paperwork with the state ministry of health for the ongoing investigation.
Following the exhumation, the body of the late Mohbad has been transported to the hospital, where the autopsy process will commence without delay.
Mohbad died on September 12 in controversial circumstances. He was buried the next day, September 13.
Nigerians demanded that an autopsy be carried following the startling revelations of him being harassed and assaulted while he was alive.
The Lagos state police command on Monday, September 19, set up a 13-man committee to carry out a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding his demise.
The committee is expected to turn in its report in two weeks.
