Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe Adeoti has shared her excitement over her 2024 film, Thinline, receiving an AMVCA nomination.

The organizers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards unveiled the nominees for the 11th edition on Sunday, with actress Uche Montana earning a nomination for Best Lead Actress for her outstanding performance in Thinline, a film by Mercy Aigbe.

Taking to Instagram, Mercy expressed her joy over Uche’s nomination, describing Thinline as a masterpiece and praising Uche for delivering an exceptional performance. She also expressed her hopes that, with God’s help and the support of fans, Uche would take home the award.

“We got a Nomination!!!!! Y’all, I am super excited that my girl @uchemontana was nominated as the BEST LEAD ACTRESS in our Block Buster! THINLINE!!!!!

Through Ada Omo Daddy, Mercy Aigbe made her cinematic debut, which was well embraced by Nigerians.  When her film earned N187 million and was the third highest grossing film, the movie star lost her composure.

This was a significant accomplishment, particularly in light of the opposition from Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele.  The film producer worked on her second cinematic film, Thin Line, after her first cinematic film proved successful. Thin Line brought in over N100 million at the box office.
