“Whatever Mohbad’s dad says is the final.”- Mohbad’s Mom Supports His Father, Reflects on Late Singer’s Memory

The mother of the late Nigerian music star Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, recently shared her thoughts on the first anniversary of her son’s passing.

It is well-known that Mohbad tragically passed away in Lagos on September 12, reportedly due to an ear infection.

Formerly signed to Marlian Music, owned by Naira Marley, he was buried in his hometown of Ikorodu less than a day after his death.

Efforts to uncover the truth surrounding his passing have been unsuccessful.

At a recent coroner’s inquest, Mohbad’s mother expressed her full support for the singer’s father, stating that all decisions regarding their son rest with him. She also asked the public to pray for Mohbad, whether in church or mosque, and mentioned that they do not wish to hold a large celebration for his remembrance.

Mohbad’s mum said:

“Whatever Mohbad’s dad says is the final. We don’t want any elaborate celebration over our son’s remembrance. The best you can do is to pray for him. You all should please leave us alone and let us settle our family”
