“Why we awarded Bobrisky Best Dressed Female” – Eniola Ajao finally reveal reason behind it

Nigerian actress and filmmaker Eniola Ajao has stepped forward to shed light on the controversial decision to award Bobrisky the title of ‘Best Female Dressed’. The decision, which sparked heated debates and conflicts among celebrities attending the movie premiere of “Ajanaku: Beast of Two Worlds,” prompted Ajao to provide clarity on the matter.

The incident, initially reported by Famous9ja, witnessed a flurry of emotions as attendees expressed their dissatisfaction with Bobrisky’s victory. Public confrontations ensued, involving notable figures such as Toyin Abraham, Portable, and Dayo Amusa, who voiced their objections to the crossdresser’s recognition.

Amidst the uproar, tensions escalated further when Femi Adebayo and Dayo Amusa engaged in a public altercation, with the latter openly criticizing the decision to honor Bobrisky at the event.

Eniola Ajao’s intervention serves to address the confusion surrounding the award, offering insights into the rationale behind the decision and seeking to quell the unrest within the entertainment industry. As the controversy continues to unfold, Ajao’s explanation aims to provide clarity and foster understanding among stakeholders involved in the unfolding drama.

Eniola disclosed during an interview with Arise News TV that the decision to award Bobrisky as the winner was a deliberate strategy as part of a PR stunt and marketing campaign to promote her film. She explained that Bobrisky’s controversial persona made him a strategic choice for generating buzz and garnering attention for her project.

Eniola Ajao noted that while Femi Adebayo, who served as the evening’s presenter, was unaware of her intentions and was simply assisting her, he has become the target of public criticism as a result of the controversy surrounding Bobrisky’s recognition.

She said;

“It was all joke, we wanted to have fun. We wanted people to talk about the movie. My team and I decided that the movie needed to be talked about and for it to be in the faces of people and we decided to give it to Bobrisky because he is a controversial person.

At the end of the day, people started talking about it, but some people are trying to come at Femi Adebayo, who is my boss. He wasn’t even aware of so many things that were going on. I only called him to help me announce this, he wasn’t part of the judges or anything”
