Wizkid make history as his new song Dance enters number one on Apple Music within 8 hours of release (Video)

Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has made history with his latest track, Dance, which debuted at number one on Apple Music just eight hours after its release.

Dance, a standout song from Wizkid’s highly anticipated Morayo album, was released at midnight on November 15, 2024, and has quickly become a fan favorite thanks to its irresistible replay value.

This isn’t the first glimpse of the Morayo album, as Wizkid previously released another hit track, Piece of My Heart, featuring American singer-songwriter Brent Faiyaz.

Note that before the song Dance was released by Wizkid, fans of the Grammy Award winner have started hopping on it with many of them creating several dancing steps on TikTok.

Wizkid’s new single Dance has claimed the number 1 spot on Apple Music, followed by Fikan We Kan by BNXN and Rema at number 2. Wizkid’s previous release, Piece of My Heart featuring Brent Faiyaz, holds the number 3 spot. MMS by Asake and Wizkid takes fourth place, while Awuke by Davido and YG Marley rounds out the top 5.
