“Wrong calling” – Pastor Yul Edochie loses first public prophecy after Nigeria’s loss to Ivory Coast in AFCON final

The defeat of the Super Eagles of Nigeria by Ivory Coast in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 has sparked reactions online, particularly regarding Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s failed prophecy.

Before the match commenced, Yul Edochie confidently stated on his social media page that the AFCON final between Nigeria and Ivory Coast would not go into a penalty shootout and predicted a comfortable victory for the Super Eagles.

However, Ivory Coast emerged victorious with a 2-1 score, contradicting Edochie’s prophecy and prompting reactions from fans and followers online.

Recall that Yul Edochie has been making headlines in recent weeks as the thespian launched an online ministry stating that he was called by God.

As he launched his ministry, Yul Edochie has started dishing out the words of God to his members via online as he has yet to kickstart a physical church.

In his first prophecy shared yesterday February 11th 2024, Yul Edochie wrote; “Today’s game will not get to penalty shootout. Nigeria will defeat Ivory Coast comfortably.”See screenshot below;
