A chef with the handle @tinugrills expressed her disappointment on social media, alleging that Toyin Abraham had not paid for a meal she had prepared upon request during a meet and greet event in Ilorin for her film “The Ghost and the Tout.”
This incident took place five days before the untimely passing of Mohbad.
Toyin Abraham, using the X app, expressed her condolences and urged for justice in the aftermath of Mohbad’s passing to aid in the healing process.
The chef quoted Toyin Abraham’s tweet, presumably to draw attention to their unresolved issue.
“Toyin alabosian, you better pay my money”
This statement appeared to irritate the actress, who promptly blocked her on the platform. This angered the chef, who swore to deliver evidence the following morning.
Early this morning, the chef took to her account to tell the story, explaining how on October 8, 2021, Toyin ordered food for herself and her team consisting of “2ltr Jollof rice, 2ltr fried rice with turkey wings, everything worth around 40k but she cannot recall the exact amount because it had been a while.”
According to the chef, Toyin Abraham really enjoyed the lunch while telling the chef that her boss would contact her to settle out the bills, but no one had contacted her as of yet.
She further claims that Toyin Abraham and her management contacted her after she posted the post, with Toyin stating she couldn’t remember such an event, calling her a witch, and requesting that she erase it. She refused to do so until she was compensated.
An X user on the platform, @larmmy, strongly supported the chef, claiming that the renowned Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, had also attempted to do this to a friend of hers, claiming she rides on popular issues, orders from the vendor, and does not pay.
