“You people should let me rest, I’m not perfect and I won’t back down from speaking the truth” – Iyabo Ojo reacts to backlash over her support for Mohbad

Nollywood actress and businesswoman Iyabo Ojo has addressed the criticism she’s faced due to her affection and advocacy for the late musician Mohbad.

According to Famous9ja, she and her colleague Tonto Dikeh have been actively seeking justice for the late singer, which has drawn some negative feedback, especially in regard to their coverage of his funeral arrangements.

Iyabo took to her Instagram page to express that she acknowledges her imperfections, has never portrayed herself as flawless, and has never made any promises to be so. She emphasized that being true to herself is more than sufficient for her.

The two-parent single mother adamantly stated that she would keep speaking her truth regardless of the picture they paint of her and the abuse she encounters.

According to her, she would rather die a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who speaks & fights for justice.

She added that she wants a better Nigeria and a safe environment for her children and that duty starts from her and the public.

I will continue to speak my truth no matter the narrative they draw about me, no matter the hate, the witch hunt……..I would rather die a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who speaks & fights for justice, bcos death at the end is inevitable, I want a better Nigeria and a safe environment for our dear children & that duty starts from you and me, we can’t all be silence……… The Queen Mother with her black bonnet”.
