BREAKING: I’ve achieved everything achieveable in football history – Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi, the superstar of Inter Miami, expressed that he belongs to a select group of players who have accomplished nearly everything in football.

The Argentine icon led his national team to victory in the Copa America two years ago and secured their third World Cup title in 2022.

Prior to this, Messi claimed league titles in Spain and France. During his remarkable 21-year tenure at Barcelona in La Liga, he also triumphed in the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup.

In an interview with ESPN Argentina, the 36-year-old expressed gratitude for having been fortunate enough to accomplish everything at both individual and club levels in football.

Highlighting the rarity of such achievements, he underscored that only a handful of players, like himself, can claim to have attained such comprehensive success in the sport.

During Argentina’s path to securing their third World Cup title, the forward notably contributed with seven goals and three assists, playing a pivotal role in the team’s success.

“If a movie had to be made, no one would have thought of it like that. That it happened the way it did after everything that had happened, the disappointments in the Copa América and World Cups, was extraordinary, impressive.

“She (The World Cup) is the most desired by everyone. Anyone dreams big and the biggest thing is to be a champion with your national team. I was lucky to achieve everything at the club level in Barcelona and also at the individual level. It was the only one I was missing. There are few players who can say they achieved everything. And thank God I’m one of them.

“With effort, sacrifice, work, and humility, in the end, you achieve your goals. The road can be hard, but you have to keep fighting for your dreams to try to achieve them. Sometimes it happens, other times it doesn’t, but you never have to stop to try it. I love playing ball, I love coming to the national team, I love being on the premises and before I couldn’t enjoy it like today,” Messi said.
