Carlos Tevez has been hospitalized due to chest pain he experienced.

Former Premier League striker Carlos Tevez, renowned for his stints with Manchester United, Manchester City, and West Ham, has been hospitalized in Argentina following complaints of chest pain. Tevez, who retired from professional football in 2022, is currently managing Independiente, a top-flight club in Argentina.

Tevez spent the night at a hospital in San Isidro, a district in Buenos Aires, and is scheduled for additional tests on Wednesday. Independiente released an official statement confirming Tevez’s hospitalization, noting that the initial test results were deemed ‘satisfactory.’

“Our coach, Carlos Tevez, went to the La Trinidad Hospital in San Isidro with chest pain,” the statement read. “They carried out the corresponding tests and they were satisfactory. Today he will continue with a series of tests scheduled in advance as part of a general check-up.”

In a subsequent message, the club added: “Carlos Tevez will be hospitalised as a precaution until the corresponding tests are completed.”
