Omobolanle Akinyanju, known as Ashabi in Nollywood and the mother of singer Portable, has reached out to the public for assistance.
In a tearful video she shared, she expressed her struggles, acknowledging that life’s journey isn’t always easy. She questioned the certainty of being on the right path and admitted to feeling more exhausted than anticipated lately.
Ashabi pleaded with her fans to watch her movie, hoping that their support would uplift her spirits during this challenging time when she feels weak.
“I know it’s not always a smooth and clear road, but what d assurance of being on the right path, getting tired lately than expected. Please watch my movie on YouTube IMOSI to strengthen me am weak”.
On Valentine’s Day, last week, Ashabi reaffirmed her love for Portable, as she publicly expressed that she was not ready to give up on Portable.
Posting a video of herself and Potable laughin and having a good time, she revealed that she was going to be present for him every single time and that even though he was doubting and trying to push her away, she was not going to leave.
She further stated that even though there were a million reasons to leave, she would continue to stay with him because she loves him.
Recall that Portable and Ashabi went public with their love after they welcomed their child, a baby boy in June 2023. Late last year, Portable had even declared her Iyawo Ile.
Last month, the couple had a public spat after Ashabi granted an interview giving an insight into their love life, revealing that despite the singer being married and having multiple women, she still feels like he is married to her alone.
Her interview left Portable enraged as he slammed her, reminding her that she is just a side chick, and noting how he has a wife at home.
Portable made it known that his wife, Zainab had never fought Ashabi and informed that he has kids with multiple women, and made her know that she can never stand beside his wife.
Ashabi, not one to be bullied noted how understanding is a gift everyone doesn’t have.
