Omowunmi, the wife of the late singer Mohbad, has distanced herself from her sister’s remarks, indicating that the family is not in agreement with them.
Earlier, her elder sister, Karimot, criticized Mohbad’s father for advocating DNA tests, alleging that Mohbad frequently transmitted sexually transmitted diseases to Wunmi, which she treated with antibiotics.
Expressing her frustration towards Nigerians urging for DNA tests, Karimot highlighted the prevalence of spouses infecting each other with STDs in marriages. She vowed to involve the US government if any harm befell Omowunmi and her son.
Contradicting her sister’s claims, Omowunmi expressed gratitude to the public for their unwavering support for herself and her son, emphasizing that their support has been instrumental in helping them cope during difficult times.
She appealed to the public to help preserve the cherished memory of her late husband, describing him as a kind-hearted and affectionate man whom she would choose to marry again and again.
Omowunmi clarified that she had never confided in anyone about her late husband giving her sexually transmitted diseases, being involved in a cult, abusing drugs, or physically assaulting her.
Despite this, she acknowledged the outpouring of love and support from those who wish to defend her, which she deeply values.
