Veteran actor Pa Olatunbosun Ebenezer Odunsi, fondly known as Baba Amoye, has addressed the recent viral video allegedly depicting him pleading for financial aid from fans.
Expressing sadness and disbelief, Baba Amoye clarified during a phone call that he was shocked by the video circulating online.
He claimed that journalists had selectively edited the footage to create a false narrative aimed at extorting money from his fans and friends.

Immediately after seeing the video, I knew that would never be him! So, I placed a call and the number was unavailable.
Then, I put a call to Otunba Ayobami Olabiyi, the General Secretary of TAMPAN, telling him that video MUST have been a clip from a main interview.
I was correct! As soon as I was able to access Baba, he lamented and was so unhappy. He said a so called journalist had come to interview him and asked him how he commands his tears on set. Then, Baba was asked to ‘act’. He did and the mischievous ‘journalist’ removed that part to deceive the good people of Nigeria.
I have known Baba Odunsi since 2007 when he took a lead role in my films ILEKUN GOMORRAH, AWO JESU etc. He has always been a blessed, comfortable and contented man. All his children are successful and some are abroad. At over 80, he is as strong as a fiddle and by privilege of Grace, he is a Preacher of the Word!
IGNORE THE VIDEO and don’t blame celebrities when they choose to avoid certain interactions.
