Nigeria’s richest woman Folorunsho Alakija reportedly parts ways with husband Modupe after 30 years of marriage

According to a report by The Will, Nigeria’s wealthiest businesswoman, Folorunsho Alakija, and her husband, Modupe Alakija, who have shared over three decades of marriage, have allegedly decided to go their separate ways.

This purported marital crisis involving Folorunsho Alakija, a mother of four, has sparked widespread concern and speculation.

According to reports, Modupe and the 72-year-old billionaire businesswoman no longer reside together in their matrimonial home in the upscale area of Ikoyi, Lagos.

The couple has reportedly faced persistent disagreements, prompting Folorunsho to seek solace in her own residence, a decision that led her husband to find alternative accommodation nearby Ikoyi.

According to close source, despite their public appearance, the couple’s relationship has been strained for several years, and they have maintained a united front primarily due to their public status.

It is worth noting that Alakija married Modupe Alakija in November 1976. They reside in Lagos, Nigeria, with their four sons.

She is the CEO of Famfa oil and the managing director of the rose of Sharon group, acquiring her wealth as the richest woman in Nigeria.
