“Speaking Yoruba is stressful, I cant even  teach my kids” — Adunni Ade says as she urges Nigerians to speak only English

Yoruba actress Adunni Ade has sparked outrage among many people after expressing her irritation towards speaking Yoruba, her native language.

During an interview on Channels Television, when asked to speak in her native language, the actress firmly expressed her stance.

The actress, born to a German-American mother and a Nigerian father, politely declined and provided her rationale.

She emphasized that English is the recognized language in Nigeria and encouraged everyone to use it, stating that speaking her native tongue bothers her.

She further mentioned encountering rudeness from people who insist she speaks her native language.

Admittedly, she acknowledges the surprise many express regarding her ability to speak Yoruba due to her appearance.

Adunni Ade also expressed gratitude to her father for bringing her to Nigeria to learn the Yoruba culture and traditions.

When she said “my father brought me to Nigeria to learn the Nigerian culture” I was like are you joking, your YouTube father brought you home to learn his culture no to learn Nigerian culture like you’re some tourist.”
