Prominent Nigerian singer Oxlade has sparked numerous online reactions as he engaged in a heated exchange with his senior colleague Iyanya in the wake of Mohbad’s passing.
Today, on September 22, 2023, the 26-year-old Oxlade referred to the 36-year-old Iyanya as a fool after the latter criticized him for limiting access to the late Mohbad’s account.
A few days ago, Oxlade faced significant backlash from internet users due to his tribute message, which indicated that he had restricted Mohbad’s account.
In a post that has since been deleted but went viral, Oxlade shared a chat with the late Mohbad, revealing that he had restricted access to the late singer’s Instagram account since 2018.
In response, Iyanya accused Oxlade of feigning affection, asserting that individuals who lack sincerity resort to sharing screenshots of blocking or restricting genuinely good people on social media.
Addressing Oxlade directly, Iyanya reminded him that he had previously warned him about his insincerity and predicted that, one day, his true nature would be revealed.
Iyanya wrote; “When you are fake, you will post a screenshot of how you ‘Restricted’ a good guy on social media. I told you that one day the ‘fake’ in you would be televised.”

However, this does not sit well with Oxlade who fired shot at Iyanya as he refers to him as a fool while adding that silence is not loud enough for his senior colleague and by extension he would be live by 8 pm to speak up.
Oxlade said; “When you are fake, you will post a screenshot of how you “Restricted” a good guy on sm. Told you one day the “fake” in you will be televised.”
