The brilliant forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who currently competes for Al Nassr, has stated his opinion that the Saudi Pro League has the potential to rank among the top five leagues in the world.
Ronaldo brings with him a wealth of experience from his successful stints in three of the world’s most prestigious leagues: Real Madrid in Spain, Manchester United in England, and Juventus in Italy. Ronaldo joined Al Nassr from Manchester United in January for an astounding transfer fee of over €200 million.
Ronaldo’s belief in the Saudi league is a result of his observation of the country’s developing level of football, which he believes can compete with that of Europe.
The 38-year-old said during a Tuesday interview with the Saudi SSC channel, “We are much better and the Saudi league is getting better, and the next year will be even better.” The league needs time, skilled players, and improved infrastructure to realize its full potential, and he underscores the value of slow advancement.
Ronaldo believes Saudi Arabia has tremendous potential, which is supported by its excellent people and resources. As he asserts, “But I believe that this country has amazing potential, they have amazing people, and the league will be great in my opinion.” he is adamant that the league will succeed.
