Cristiano Ronaldo turns down Al Nassr’s offer to extend his contract, confirm his retirement year

It appears that Cristiano Ronaldo is not slowing down. In the calendar year, he has scored forty-three goals. An incredible performance for any soccer player, much less one who is 38 years old.

Though it is of lower quality than European football, the Saudi League is where he has scored the majority of his goals. Taking into account his poor World Cup performances, it appeared certain that the Portuguese superstar’s retirement was imminent.

It appears that Ronaldo himself may have hinted at his retirement intentions in a recent incident.

The announcement of CR7’s transfer to the Saudi Pro League was met with both astonishment and praise.

Having one of the greatest players of all time would greatly aid in the development of the sport in Asia and Saudi Arabia, but it also raised the question, “Is this the end for Cristiano Ronaldo?”

He Seems Ronaldo Retirement plan is Inevitable

A tweet from the account Al Nassr Zone is generating news on X. According to the tweet, Ronaldo has given up on the notion of remaining at Al Nassr until 2027. Rather, he has chosen to extend the agreement through 2026. In 2026, Ronaldo would be older than 40.

Even Ronaldo would struggle to play much after the age of 40, despite his amazing track record of fitness and unparalleled injury history. Moreover, 2026 presents him with one last opportunity to fulfill his legacy. This was his final chance to win the World Cup.

Ronaldo appears to benefit from his tactical intelligence, among other things. He started out as a cunning wide winger for United but turned more into an inside attacker for Real Madrid.

Both during his time at Juventus and during his return to Manchester United, Ronaldo had the traits of a striker.

Ronaldo must now use more intelligence and less athleticism as a result of this progression. The perfect combo for a player who wants to play a longer career.

Does this new Ronaldo, though, mesh nicely with the Portuguese team?
