Pochettino pinpoints two areas where Chelsea still needs to improve, after defeating Tottenham

Following Chelsea’s victory against Tottenham Hotspur in an away Premier League match on Monday night, manager Mauricio Pochettino has pinpointed two areas where his team still needs to improve.

Pochettino was present at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Chelsea defeated his old team, Tottenham, 4-1.

Pochettino’s team took all three points thanks to a goal from Cole Palmer and a hat-trick from Nicolas Jackson.

During his press conference following the game, Pochettino stated that Chelsea needed to improve their game management and move forward with a more carefree style of play against opponents.

“Of course, we need to control ourselves better. We are building our confidence and need to be more relaxed in the way that we play,” Pochettino said.

He added, “Overall, the performance was good because we arrived at a different moment and Tottenham was top of the table and to play against the leader, this performance showed we deserved to win and nothing to say more than that.”
